ASUS to Launch Hybrid Android/Windows 8 Transformer in Q2

Asus has announced the forthcoming launch of its first all-in-one Transformer series hybrid which combines Windows 8 and Android Jelly Bean support via a novel dock/base station and tablet hybrid.

The Transformer AiO consists of two major pieces: a basestation featuring conventional PC internals such as support for Intel Core processors up to Core i7, support for up to 8GB of RAM, DVD burner, up to 2TB of hard drive space, and support for an optional TV tuner all tied into Windows 8.

The second piece is a fully self-contained Android Jelly Bean powered tablet at 18.4 inches with 10 touch points, 32GB of internal memory, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 2GB of RAM all tied into a quad-core Tegra 3 processor. ?Below the complete specifications for the Windows-powered base station and the tablet/display.
